Kriss Akabusi After Dinner Sports Speaker
Kriss is famous for his achievements in athletics where his greatest individual triumph was his Gold Medal in the 1990 European Championships when he also beat David Hemery's 22 year old British Record. He began his international athletic career in 1983 as a member of the 4x400 metre relay squad and will probably always be remembered for helping Britain clinch the Gold and beat the Americans in the World Championships 4x400 metre relay in Tokyo in 1991. In recognition of his services to the country through athletics Kriss was awarded the MBE. He has presented various children's programmes co -presenting Recorder Breakers and appears regularly on game and chat shows where the brief is "fun and entertainment".
Kriss is currently the CEO of a corporate communications and public relations company where his marvellous personality and reputation as a fantastic public speaker has made him a very popular and attractive advocate. Drawing on his wealth of experience Kriss takes the audience on a journey from his childhood spent in a children's home, through to joining the army and embarking on a career as a World Class Olympic athlete. Kriss speaks around the acronym F.I.T©, (Focus, Innovation and Teamwork) and with a mixture of humour, stories, anecdotes and bags of energy and enthusiasm, you cannot fail to be motivated and inspired! The 'Cycle of Change' interactive presentation takes the audience through the four stages of the 'Cycle of Change' and relates the common threads to both the business and personal arenas. Although designed as a follow-up presentation to FIT4Business, the 'Cycle of Change' also works well as a stand-alone. This presentation helps the audience to understand the nature of change and how to identify where they are in the cycle and to be able to recognise the skills necessary to be effective in each phase of the 'Cycle of Change'.
