An ex SAS Officer and former lieutenant in the Royal Scots Grey, his other ventures include freefall parachuting onto Europe's largest glacier; surveying the length of the Nile; and a 3,800 mile expedition along North America's most dangerous rivers, completing the first unaided walk to the Southern Pole.
